Millard Edward Haney was born on April 1, 1938 and died on August 8, 2021.
Ed was born in Lilburn and still lived within 2 miles from where he was raised.
He was preceded in death by his parents Coy and Lessie Haney, brother Junior Haney. Ed was married to Jearl Dean Flowers Haney for 39 years she preceded him in death as well. He is survived by son Dwayne Haney -Monroe and daughter and son in law- Tammy and Robert Daniel- Lilburn. Three grandchildren and spouses Brittany and Peter Yeo- Mountain Park, Brandon and Brittany Haney- Jackson and Brock Haney and girlfriend Bree Looby – Jackson. 5 great grandchildren- Nathan and Matthew Hopkins, Brayden and Kellan Yeo and Josey Haney. Also two special children Lisa Marshall and Lee Mathis, 3 special grandchildren Cassidy Marshall, Jase and Paisley Mathis. 2 more special grandchildren Brianna Jones and Ryan Daniel, 5 more special great grandchildren Mckinsey Sims, Kingston Kirby, Leilani, Luna and Leilea Daniel
Ed was a self taught framing contractor for over 60 years. Building many residential homes all around Ga. Ed enjoyed life and giving all he could to his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, Ed traveled to all 50 states, several different international locations Canada, London, Barcelona, Greece, Rome, Monty Carlo and Paris throughout his years. Ed also won the 1986 International Show Car Championship with his customized 1970 Camaro The Endless Dream. He created this car with lots of help from family and friends. He traveled all over the United States and Canada with help from Larry Davis showing the car. Ed was inducted into the World of Wheels Hall of Frame in 2006. Ed truly enjoyed his life and family and will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be at Wages and sons Stone Mountain. Final internment will be at Floral Hills Tucker.
