Nancy Alexander Bailey, 86, of Atlanta died December 8, 2017. A native of Atlanta, she was predeceased by her parents Allene Youngblood Alexander and Neal Thomas Alexander, son, Kim Bailey, and sister, Carolyn Chandler, all of Atlanta. A graduate of North Avenue Presbyterian School (now Westminster), she was a life member of Saint Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, a life member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home Auxiliary and on the board of directors of the Atlanta Humane Society. She was a member of Partners for Progress. She enjoyed travel, especially the ten European trips she and her husband made during the 1990’s. As the mother of six children, she was involved in activities at Christ the King, Marist and Galloway Schools. She is survived by her husband of sixty six years, James Christy Bailey, Dunwoody; daughters, Claire Carraway (Frazier), Tampa, Florida; Carol Bailey, Bethel, Maine; Patricia Bailey, Paris, France; Melanie Bailey, Roswell, sons, John Chris Bailey (Leslie Dowdy), Doraville, brother, Neal Alexander (Sue), Acworth; sister, Betty Hollis, Atlanta; granddaughters Margaret and Bailey Carraway, Tampa, Florida; grandson, Matthew Bailey (Maggie), Atlanta.
