Patricia Ann Williams

Patricia A. Williams, a devoted mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, just days before her 82nd birthday. Born on December 1, 1942, in Atlanta, GA, Patricia lived a life full of love, service, and unwavering dedication to her family, her community, and her faith.

A proud graduate of L.J. Prince High School in Atlanta, Patricia furthered her education at Spelman College and later graduated from Cathedral of Faith School of the Prophets. Her passion for ministry led her to become a prison ministry coordinator, a role through which she impacted countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and guidance.

Patricia was a long-standing member of the Cathedral of Faith and Spirit Filled Life Christian Ministry. She loved teaching others to learn and love the Word of God, always encouraging those around her to seek His kingdom. Her strength and faith served as a cornerstone for her family, whom she cherished as both a spiritual advisor and a loving matriarch.

In addition to her ministry, Patricia dedicated over 20 years of her career to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a patient care coordinator, providing compassion and support to those in need. Her volunteer efforts were extensive, including countless hours at charities and food banks, as well as organizing toy drives during the Christmas season to bring joy to others.

Patricia found joy in many simple pleasures, such as watching the Atlanta Braves, reading, writing, playing bingo, and shopping. She cherished fellowship with her church family and made spending time with her loved ones a priority, especially when it came to family gatherings and getting her nails done—a favorite pastime that brought her joy and connection with others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy T. Williams, Jr.; her father, Frank L. Redding, Sr.; her mother, Lonnie Redding (Peek); and her sister, Hallie Bruce (Redding).

Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her daughters, Suzette Ramsey and Cathy Bacon; grandchildren Chris (Carlette – fiancée), Brittany, Jocelyn, Chundrea, Chelsea, Tyric and Joshua; great-granddchildren Jaden, Desmond, Jamonei, Riley, Kassidy, Callie Anna Marie and Royal; brothers Andre Redding (Carol) and Frank L. Redding; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Patricia’s life was a testament to her faith, love, and dedication to others. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church community. In honoring her memory, the family asks for your continued prayers and acts of kindness, reflecting the spirit in which she lived.
