Rebecca Everett, known to friends as Becky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 91. Becky had been recovering from an infection she had in early September.
A native of Atlanta, Becky graduated from Commercial High School and went to work at Citizens and Southern Bank (Bank of America) where she retired in 1983. Becky later went on to work at Lawrenceville Elementary School as the Front Office Clerk but retired from there in 1991 so she could devote herself to being “Mimi” to her seven grandchildren who loved having her a part of their lives.
Becky is lovingly survived by her children Duane Blalock (Brynne) and Alison Samuels (Mark) and her 6 grandchildren: Chase Dalton, Dana Brazdo, Erin McAuley, Connor Dalton, Hank Blalock, and Alyssa Blalock and her 7 wonderful great grandchildren. Her world was her family. Becky was preceded in death by husbands Henry Alton Blalock and Dewey E Everett and granddaughter, Jordan Dalton.
Becky’s favorite saying was “When I die, do not put Miss on my tombstone because I didn’t miss anything in life.” With that said, Becky’s Celebration of a Life Well Lived will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Mac Palmer officiating, Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, GA.
