Robert Markley

Robert W. Markley, 82, passed away on June 13, 2019. He was the husband of Charlene (Potts). Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Paul L. and Mary (Wolgemuth) Markley. He worked as an aluminum sales manager for over 40 years receiving numerous awards. Bob’s work relocated his family from Pennsylvania to Michigan to Indiana and finally Georgia where he and his wife have lived for the last 35 years in the Stone Mountain area. Bob enjoyed traveling with his family and business associates experiencing many adventures with hiking, sailing, caving, scuba diving, playing tennis, and golfing. He enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons attending tennis, soccer, and baseball tournaments, band concerts, and graduation ceremonies. Most recently Bob was a beloved employee at Walmart Stone Mountain where customers and co-workers enjoyed his winning smile, laughter, and charming personality. Surviving family members are his wife, two brothers John,twin Richard and sister-in-law Joanne, his son, Jeffrey, daughter Cindy and son-in-law Jim Kincaid, daughter Julie Miklos, and grandsons Nicholas Kincaid, Michael Kincaid and Karl Miklos.
