Ronald S. Stallings Obituary Ronald Stallings, 66, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away May 8, 2018. He was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and attended Georgia State University, majoring in Real Estate. At the age of 21, Ron began a life-long career in property tax consulting by becoming the Chief Appraiser for Clayton County, GA. He established the firms of Easley, McCaleb & Stallings, The Stallings Group, and continued to serve his clients through his firms The Stallings Consulting Group and The Stallings-Ribar Group. Ron enjoyed a full life of fishing, golf, boating, and being with friends. His fellow “Supper Club” members, life-long college friends, will miss him every day, but continue to gather and party like it’s 1969. Ron always looked for opportunities to help and support his family and others. During his children’s school years he took on leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America and the Parent’s Club of Woodward Academy. He enjoyed yearly volunteering at the Bradford Kids Day in Henry County. Ron was a member of St. Stephens the Martyr parish in Lilburn, GA, and an active member and former officer of the Knights of Columbus Council #14122. His dedication to his fellow Knights and his service and commitment to the parish and community will not be forgotten. Unfortunately, the recipe for the Brunswick Stew passed away with Ron. Ron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth, his sons Andrew (Alison) Stallings, Morgan (Amy) Stallings, daughter Sydney Stallings, along with three delightful grandchildren; Jackson, Charlotte, and Garrett, to whom Ron will be forever remembered as “Boss.” A funeral mass for Ron will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12:30pm at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Lilburn, GA. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Knights of Columbus, Chapter #14122, St. Stephen the Martyr, 5373 Wydella Rd. SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Ron was like the brother Lee never had. Lee and Ron met when they first started Ga State..thus started the friendships ( and family) of the “supper club” ( Ron, Lee, John, JB and Norman) lee and Ron had an apartment in college… 40 years later I could not believe these two are excellent cooks and sitting in Bible study together.
Lucky us the wives of this group Beth (also Lee’s cousin) Patty, Bev and I have so many memories that forever will be in our hearts.
Yes he made the best Brunswick stew!!!
Rip Ronnie you fought hard but through your faith you defeated that ugly cancer and are now cancer free, pain free and happy in heaven just waiting for supper club to meet again!
    Love you!

  16. Hey Beth, so sorry to hear about Ron. Our prayers are with you. I enjoyed growing up around Ron. He and Rick introduced me to golf when I was a kid, lots of fun memories. Couldn’t play at his level but he was a great teacher and had lots of patience. I don’t know how long ago it was that I last visited with Ron but I will always have fond memories of him. He was a great guy.

  17. Sorry to hear about your lost I know it can be difficult to see the brighter side of things when we are faced with these trials but god does promise us that we will have a ressurection and soon we will be reunited with our loved ones again my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family (acts 24:15)

  18. I was sorry to hear about Ronnie’s passing, He was my best friend in high school and we lost touch after. I regret not being able to find him while he was still with us. I will always remember the good times we had.

  19. I know this is 5 years late, but I just found out my long list friend passed on. I met Ron while we were being trained ny Cole Layer and Trumble. We got to be very good friends. I remember how I told him how to get out of the draft because of his Knee. After I left Cole Layet Trumble the Navy reactivated me. At the age of 80 I just retired as Vice Admiral. Not a bad life.
I often thought about Ron and everytime I tried calling he was either out, on the phone or in a meeting. I wished I could have made contact with him. We had a lot of fun and good times. My deepest sympathy to his family, he was one of the best person I have known
