Jearlee Spurgeon

Jearlee Jerri M. Spurgeon Butterbaugh, 79 of Lawrenceville, GA died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Emory Eastside Hospital in Snellville, GA after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure and diabetes Born on February 6, 1933 in Perrysville, OH, Jerri was one of eleven children born to Sadie and JB Butterbaugh. Jerri grew up in Bellville, OH attending Bellville High School before marrying Owen Spurgeon of Mansfield and celebrated 61 years of marriage together. Jerri retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Labor. Jerri is a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snellville. She is survived by her husband Owen; her son, Dana Spurgeon of Rockville, IN; daughter, Lorna Wilmot of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and siblings, Ardella Staats, Romota Ridenour, Edith Gay Hedges and Joseph Butterbaugh. Jerri was preceded in death by brothers, Dale, Raymond and George Butterbaugh and sisters, Dora Arras, bonnie Butterbaugh and Neva Louis. Jerri's funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Burial Gwinnett Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the church of your choice. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until time of the service at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy.
