It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we, The Szczepkowski Family, announce the passing of a Great Man, our father, Stanley Joseph Szczepkowski Jr. “Stan”, who passed away peacefully in his home with family on August 9, 2022 at the age of 77, in Lawrenceville, GA.
Born in Troy, NY he was the son of the late Stanley Joseph Szczepkowski and Helen Rose Szczepkowski (Pszeniczny). Stan was predeceased by his beloved wife Judy Lee Szczepkowski (Ezzell). He was also predeceased by his sisters, Mary (Szczepkowski) Delligan and Helen Szczepkowski. He is survived by: his sons Timothy Wayne Szczepkowski (Stephanie), Robert Lee Szczepkowski (Jean), Joseph Leon Szczepkowski (Hope); his grandchildren, Samuel, Andy, Haylee, Nicholas, Jacklyn, Mathew, Spencer, Isabella, Luke, Stanley, Joey; his great grandchildren: Anthony, Bane, Cora his sister Margie Szczepkowski, NY and his brother Edward Szczepkowski, (Jeannette), NY. He is also survived by several nieces, and Aunts.
Stan severed proudly in the Marine Corps as a Corporal from 1962-1966, where he met the love of his life, “His Angel”, Judy, in Jacksonville, NC.
Stan retired from Gold Kist Inc. as a Corporate Transportation Manager, in 2007 after working for them for over 30 years.
Shortly after retiring Stan went to work for Jubilant Draxima, as a driver, delivering nuclear medicine, for the last 15-years of his life. The hi-lite of Stan’s day at work, was feeding the stray cats in the morning when he got to work, and every afternoon before he left. One of his greatest qualities was his love for animals, and those stray cats knew they would never be without a meal as long as Stan was around.
Stan was a proud, admirable, generous, loving man, who always put the needs of his family before himself. He would always make you laugh with his sense of humor, and just put a smile on your face. He will be deeply missed by all.
