Resided in: Suwanee, GA

Thomas Hill Feick, 81, died Wednesday, July 26,2023 at 5:45 a.m.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Joan (Gerlach) Feick; son, Robert and his wife Karen; son Thomas and his wife Endora; daughter Terry; grandchildren, Kira, Richard, Robert, Wylan, Ethan, Aaron, and Casey; Great grandchildren Callianne and Kenna; brother Eric Boyd and sister Joyce Walker.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Phillip Feick and Eloise Boyd, born March 4, 1942.

As a young man, he enlisted in the army at 17 years of age and was honorably discharged after serving his term. He then met his wife Joan Gerlach and proceeded to have three wonderful children.

After starting out as an apprenticed pipe fitter, he worked tirelessly to achieve his journeyman status. After almost 40 years, he retired from Lucent Technologies to spend more time with his family.

Tom had a passion for hunting and fishing in his early years, but as he got older he developed a real love for the game of golf. He also joined the Masons where he rose to the ranks of Master Mason.

He was an avid talker and loved telling stories (real or not). His favorite story was that he met Johnny Unitas once and many years later he saw him again and Mr. Unitas remembered him by name! Tom was so loved by his family and friends that it did not even matter if he told a tall tale; he was a loving and caring man who loved his family, and it showed.

The memorial service will be held at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, GA, Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11:00 am.

  4. CandleImageAlthough I never had the pleasure of meeting Tom, Wylan has always shared fond memories of his Poohpah, and I wish for comfort and peace for the entire Feick family at this time.

  5. CandleImageWhat a man! What a friend! Tom will be missed by me and I will always treasure the memories of his laugh. His candor. The fishing trip he took me and my Dad and sons on. Just everything about him. This world is a better place because he was in it. I am sure Heaven is blessed now that he is there, I guess Jesus just couldn’t wait to have him there.
