Veronica Vashti Grinan

Mrs. Veronica Vashti Grinan nee Rubie was born on August 19,1929 to Ambrozine Allen and Zephaniah Rubie in Kingston, Jamaica West Indies. Veronica received her early formal education at the business school, Jamaica School of Commerce where she excelled in her studies. Veronica was trained as a Stenographer and was employed in the Civil Service where she served dutifully as secretary to the Commissioner of Police. Later, she immigrated to the United States and worked for the Board of Education in the City of New York. Veronica was truly blessed. She lived many joyous years before she departed on April 21, 2018. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and dedicated husband Leslie Grinan whom she married on December 18,1968. She also leaves her brother Winston (Andrea) Rubie; Step-daughters, Lorna Grinan, Minerva Grinan and Dawn Grinan; Step-Granddaughter, Cheddie; Nieces, Michelle (Wayne) Smith; Kisha (Henri) Arscott; nephew, Wayne (Jennifer) Rubie and a host of loving relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
