Zelma Taylor Maughon age 95 of Buckhead Georgia, took her heavenly flight on Monday August 7th, 2025. Born in Cullman, Alabama on Thursday, May 15, 1930  she was daughter of the late Robert and Alena Umphrey Taylor.
Zelma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stone Mountain, she loved to read, travel, spending time with family, and was an avid animal lover.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Maughon, and son Danny Maughon. Surviving are children, Michael (Maureen) Maughon of Dallas, Georgia, Cyndi (Ronnie) Stegall of Buckhead, Georgia, and Lisa (Kenny) Beck of Conyers, Georgia; siblings Doc (Ann) Taylor of Buchanan, Georgia, Betty Hicks and Jean Frampton both of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday August, 11th 2025, from the Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Pastor Michael Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday August 11th, 2025 from 1pm until the funeral hour.
