Alan Leonard Hollinshed

January 31, 1967 — March 2, 2022

Alan Hollinshed went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2022, at the age of 55.

Born Alan Leonard Hollinshed to the parentage of Jessie Daniel and Willie Maude Hollinshed of Ft. Valley, Georgia.

At an early age, Alan joined Usher Temple C.M.E. Church and became an active member until he moved away.

Alan was educated in Peach County School System where he was an outstanding student and athlete. He excelled on Football and basketball on the Peach County High School Varsity team. He also ran track.

After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Navy/Marines and was active in Desert Storm and Desert Shield War where he was a Field Medical Technician. Alan received the following medals: Good Conduct Award, Fleet Marine Ribbon, National Defense Service, Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 bronze stars).

Alan worked at the Macon Medical Center as a Neuro-ICU Clinical Technician and a Medic. He also worked for Delta Airlines for 14 years as an Operations Service Manager.

Alan was preceded in death by his father Jessie Daniel Hollinshed. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife Mary Hollinshed (Fayetteville, GA); daughters: Chelsey Hollinshed, Alanis Hollinshed, Summer Hollinshed (all of Hiram, GA), and secret Curtis (Fayetteville,GA); sons: Lawrence Curtis, and Laron Curtis; grandson Braylen Curtis (all of Fayetteville,GA); Mother Ms. Willie Maude Hollinshed (Ft. Valley,GA); brother Rev. Kenneth L. Hollinshed (Tanesha) Ft. Worth,TX; Sister Barbara Troutman (Ralph) Atlanta,GA; Mother-In-Law Rita “Hot Sauce” Martinez (Detroit,MI), Father-In-Law Thomas (Iranette) Detroit,MI; nephews: Kyle Troutman, Kaleb Troutman, Kole Troutman, (all of Atlanta,GA), Kingston Hollinshed and Khaylen Herrod (all of Ft. Worth,TX) aunts: Betty (John) Capers (Okeechobee,FL), Arneita Scott, Bessie Perkins, Brenda Baker-Mitchell (all of Macon,GA), uncles: Carlton (Amelia) Bivins (Fayetteville,GA), Joseph (Daphne) White, Ronnie White, Justice Baker, Rev. James K. (Judy) Baker (all of Macon,GA), and Leonard Douse (Ft. Valley,GA), best friends: Charles and Carlos Spry (Macon,GA), and a host of relatives and friends.
