CW4 Alan Gregor Raffalovich Retired died July 6, 2010 at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA. He was born, April 15, 1918 in Boston, MA, but lived many years in Atlanta and attended Boys High. He was the son of Dr. George Raffalovich, who was a professor at Emory University and Dorothy Dawson Raffalovich. He is survived by a brother, Francis Raffalovich; sister, Grace Charbonnett; sons, Anthony Raffalovich, Victor Raffalovich; daughters, Linda Snyder, Anita Rudy; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His wife, Alys Goulden Raffalovich and son, Stephen Raffalovich preceded him in death. Alan served in the U. S. Army for 31.5 years and fought in WW2, Korean War, and Vietnam War. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and was a past president of the Alabama SAR. His many interests included history, geography, foreign languages, automobiles and genealogy. A private family service will be held. Mr. Raffalovich?s remains will be buried in Maple Hills Cemetery in Huntsville, AL.
