Alba Rowena Sequeira of Norcross, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 20rd 2020, at the age of 58 years old. Alba was born in Kuwait on April 6, 1962. Alba is preceded in death by her father Bernard Sequeira and her mother Philomena Sequeira. She is survived by her twin children Ariel and Aaron Sequeira, her brothers Malcolm and Mario and beloved grandson Andrew.

Alba was a woman of many talents and had an insatiable appetite for knowledge. From being her own Fix-It woman, to Chef for her friends and family, to Collector enthusiast, Alba spent the last few years of her life as a member of The Greater Gwinnett Rose Society (GGRS). Her love of roses bloomed as she did, starting from Novice to her latest status of President of GGRS.

Her thirst for knowledge stemmed when she was very young. She had a veracious appetite for reading. At night, she would read by flashlight under the sheets as a little girl.

She attended University of Illinois and graduated with her Master’s Degree in Accounting in 1993.

She accomplished what only 13% of CPA aspirants have tried to do. She passed her CPA exam on the first try. She managed this feat while holding a full time job and caring for her twin children as a single mother.

Alba touched many lives in her short time with us. She was and is very well loved and missed.

The funeral service is planned at Wages and Sons, Gwinnet Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Georgia 30046. Tel: 770-277-4550 on Thursday 4.26.2020 at 1 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, the family can only receive up to ten family members and friends at a time.
