Albert Capogrossi

Albert Capogrossi passed away on Monday September 2, 2024. He was born on March 11, 1943 to Anne Belous Capogrossi and Columbo Capogrossi in Amarillo, Texas. He grew up in Ithaca, NY with his parents and 4 siblings.

He married Gloria J. Capogrossi in April of 1965 and they continued to reside in Ithaca, NY until 1970 when they moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was a devoted father, husband and pop. In his earlier days he could be seen in local commercials as well as tv shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard and several movies.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 56 years Gloria, his parents and his brother Joseph Capogrossi. As well as grandson’s Kyle Smith and Cameron Crespo.

Albert is survived by his daughter Gina Smith, granddaughter Megan (Alvin) Smith-Dzihic, great granddaughter Landyn. Brothers Douglas Capogrossi and Theodore Capogrossi, sister Anne Marie Boyd. Along with countless other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was a hard-working man that cared deeply for his family. He will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to know him.
