Albert Delmar Walden

September 2, 1943 — January 4, 2010

Albert Delmar Walden was born on September 2, 1943 in Rockingham, North Carolina to John Thomas Walden and Marie Simpson Walden. Albert graduated from Mineral Springs High School in Ellerbee, North Carolina. From there he went to High Point, North Carolina as a young graduate to work at the Thomasville furniture plant before joining the U.S. Navy in 1962. Albert upon completing his 4 years on the S.S. Manaloa began work at Merck Pharmaceutical Company in Rahway, New Jersey in 1966. Albert met Paula Walden in Miami, Florida in February 1989, while playing golf. Paula was there visiting family and to much of Albert and Paula surprise, they both resided in New Jersey. They soon starting dating in the summer of 1989 and was married on September 27th, 1991. From the wedlock came three beautiful children, Eva Marie, Chanel Pearl and Myles Delmar. Albert was outgoing and fun loving as an adult with a passion for golf and music. His favorite singers was Otis Redding and Gladys Knight. He love to go salmon fishing with his brother Tommy and friends. He also love traveling with Paula and the children to the Caribbean and family affairs. Albert is survived by his wife Paula and his children Albert Delmar Walden II, Eva Marie, Chanel Pearl and Myles Delmar. His brothers William Walden. Tommy Gene Walden., sisters Frances Snider and Quitsey Marie Walden and beautiful grandchildren Tre and Jade Walden, Christopher, Christian, Carter and Candace Bradley. and a host of nieces and nephews.. Anyone who knew Albert know how much he loved his children. He will be missed more than words can express. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
