Alfred Bassue

Mr. Alfred Vincent Bassue was born on October 2nd, 1949 to Ms. Lillian Bassue and Mr. James Skelton on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, British West Indies. He transitioned from this life on earth on September 11th, 2021.

He was the youngest of five (5) children. His sister Pearl Hyacinth Ryan lives in Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by his other siblings, Yolanda Cotton, Naomi Hendrickson, Carl Cotton and Cinrick Cotton.

Alfred is survived by his wife Mrs. Rosalind Bassue; (6) Children: Junior Alfred Liburd, Jean Gillian Liburd, Davidson Ethelburt Liburd, Cyprian Jason Bassue, Elzidah Rosalind Bassue Kareem Gregory Bassue; (8) Grandchildren: Trevian Liburd, Zaieda Liburd, Cyprian Mikiel Bassue, Lejaun Amari DeVorce-Bassue, Ja’Liyah Marie Simmons, Kamaria Monique Bassue, Kayden Marquis DeVorce-Bassue, Maria Danielle Bassue and a host of nieces, nephews.

Alfred was a hard worker and family man. He worked most of his life in the world of engineering as a chief sugar boiler, and loved the wonderful trades of carpentry and painting. He was known for his radiant smile, his charisma, infectious humor, contagious laughter, and the joy he brought into the lives of many. He was a kind soul and a simple man who believed in spreading love, joy, and wisdom to whomever he interacted with. He will truly be missed, however, the memories will continue to live on through the lives of all those who respected and loved him.
