An Hoang Mai

“An Hoang Mai was born in Ba Ria, Vietnam on June 9th of 1961. He was the 8th child of Mai Van Hai and Mai Thi Kiem. At a young age, he came to the United States for a new start in life. He soon met Anh Thoai Tran, married her in 1990, and had two children together. Despite only having $500 during the time of their marriage, they were able to build a strong foundation for themselves and paved the way for the generations to come.

An was a man with few words but brought laughter everywhere he went and was kind to everyone he met. He had an undeniable green thumb and loved sharing his vegetables and fruits with everyone around him. He enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises, and spending time with his family and friends.

He worked at Southern Aluminum Finishing Co. for over 30 years where he became a well respected leader at his workplace and loved by the people he worked with. An Mai was a man of focus, committment, and sheer will.

He is survived by his wife, Anh, son, Minh, and daughter, Tu. “
