Angelina Louis Limato, lovingly known as Angel, was born March 16, 1959, in Jacksonville, Florida, and passed away on September 17, 2025, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Angel attended University Christian School and graduated high school in 1977. She spent much of her career as an insurance underwriter with USF&G/Shank and Company, where she worked faithfully from 1977 until her retirement in 2011.
Angel lived a life filled with creativity, faith, and love for those close to her. She enjoyed reading, caring for her beloved Maltese, Cara Mia, crafting, online shopping, and the simple joys of art and coloring. She had a quick wit, a brilliant mind, and could converse thoughtfully about nearly any subject. Angel loved meaningful conversations about life and the world, choosing to focus on what truly mattered rather than gossip.
A proud Baptist, Angel’s faith was strong and unwavering. She made her family feel cherished and special, and her loyalty as a friend was unmatched. Her lifelong friendship with Susan Kemp, which began in eighth grade, remained one of her most treasured relationships.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul J. Limato, Sr. and Donnie Rae Limato; sisters Donna Rae Limato and Millie Landin; brother-in-law Larry Landin, Sr.; paternal grandparents Frank and Angelina Limato; maternal grandparents Raymond and Mildred Boland; uncles Jimmy Limato, Edward Limato, Allen Boland, and Tom Boland; and maternal aunts Joann Yarrington and Rebecca Calderone.
Angel is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Paul and Paula Limato; her dearest friend and chosen sister, Susan Kemp (Larry); niece Rebekah Limato Tessitore (Vincent); nephews Larry Landin, Jr., Justin Landin, and Jamie Limato (Jessica); six great-nieces; four great-nephews; uncle Bill Boland; three aunts and one uncle by marriage; and many cousins who will miss her deeply.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Gwinnett Memorial Park. Services are entrusted to Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Angel’s memory to Animal Companion Rescue Foundation, 182 Hilderbrand Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30328.
Angel’s warmth, humor, and steadfast faith touched many lives. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose legacy of love will live on in all who knew her.
