Anthony John "Tony" Scalzitti

August 11, 1970 — April 4, 2023

Anthony John “Tony” Scalzitti, age 52, of Lawrenceville, passed away Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. Tony was born on August 11, 1970, in Erie, PA, to the late Anthony Paul Scalzitti and Nina Bertha (Cacchione) Scalzitti. Tony graduated from Fairview High School, Class of 1988.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Beth Scalzitti, of Lawrenceville, to whom he was married for almost 25 years, daughters Sophie and Bella, son Tony, and dog, Luna. He is also survived by his sisters Lori Bly and Darlene Scalzitti, of Erie, PA; father-in-law, David Ferguson; sister-in-law, Michelle Ferguson (Jay Bowerman) of Auburn, GA; nephews Aaron Bly and James Scalzitti; nieces Chelsea Caddell and Emma Bowerman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marilyn Ferguson.

A quintessential computer geek, Tony had a long career in the tech world, with a variety of positions and laundry list of skills. After many years, Tony started his own consulting company working with his wife, Beth, to provide tech support, web design, and marketing to small businesses.

Tony was a real jack of all trades; his favorite catchphrase was “I drink and I know things”. A born communicator, he made friends wherever he went and would strike up lengthy conversations with new people on a wide range of topics. Whenever presented with a new, unfamiliar challenge, he would dive right in and figure out what to do. He relished learning new things. Tony had many other passions in life besides computers including photography, woodworking, dogs, working on cars, motorcycles, and sharing his love of geek things with his kids. Often, family time consisted of playing video games for hours on end, hanging out watching Star Wars, or other favorites.

If you knew Tony, then you knew he was notorious for his sarcasm and terrible grammar. His quick wit and one-line zingers were legendary, and a source of humor for family and friends. He will be missed.
