Auro Marcelle Combs Albright, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 26 , 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Thelma Long Combs, her brother Hubert Combs, her sister, Dorothy Combs Cowart and her beloved husband of 38 years, Horace L. Albright. She is survived by her son Joseph (Susan) Albright of Norcross,her daughter Donna (Bob) Lee of Lawrenceville and her daughter, Ruth Reaves of Lexington, South Carolina, her 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and her nieces, Betty Lee Crews and Jean Ickes, both of Macclenny,Florida. Marcelle was born in Olustee, Florida on October 18, 1924 and married to Horace in 1942. She and Horace raised their 3 children in Chamblee Georgia where they resided in Embry Hills until Marcelle moved to Ashton Senior Living in 2013. They were longtime members of Northwoods Baptist Church where they taught Sunday School and Training Union. They later were part of the founding members of Northeast Baptist Church. She was a homemaker for most of her life but became a saleswoman when her children were older,selling children's shoes with Rich's and Buster Brown where she was adored by her customers. She retired when she was 87 so she could spend more time with her family. She enjoyed having manicures and pedicures, going to the zoo, the Atlanta Aquarium and the circus. Everyone who came in contact with her loved her humor. Marcelles legacy is how she lived to show others her love through her continuous giving. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2016 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA, 770-277-4550 with Dr. Lamar Holley Officiating The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory of Marcelle, to Breast Cancer Associations https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/. Online condolances can be expressed at www.wagesandsons.com
