Barbara Ann Elibay

In loving memory of Barbara Ann Elibay July 4, 1942 – June 6, 2020

Our shining star went out when Barbara Elibay, 77, was taken from us. Barbara was the loving and beloved wife of Refik Elibay of 36 years. She was a devoted mother to Wayne, Russell and Scott. Barbara and Refik are survived by her three children, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Her compassion, courage, and cheerful disposition were infectious and inspired others. Her absence leaves an empty space that cannot be filled, and she will be sorely missed by her family and all those who came to know her.

Born in Hampton, Virginia, Barbara was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she and Refik met in 1977. That is a love story in itself. Barbara and Refik were married in 1984. His career necessitated a short move to Baltimore. They returned to Atlanta after two years, settling in Lilburn.

Barbara was a person of uncommon character: kind; generous to a fault; caring; compassionate; considerate, and always willing to extend a helping hand.

We are thankful we had her in our lives. She made us better persons. WE LOVE AND MISS HER.
