Barbara Williams Hart

On May 1, 2022, Barbara Williams Hart, 89, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Barbara was born February 1, 1933, to Murdock C. Williams and Lorene Moore Williams in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Bass High School in 1951.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, and most of all, doing for others. Barbara was especially fond of animals. If they believed in reincarnation, many have said they would want to come back as one of her pets.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Melvin B. Hart. Survivors include two sons, Randall L. Hart and Dennis M. Hart. Three grandchildren; Caitlin H. Chapman, Ashlyn H. Meeks, Kelsey H. Craig, and three great-grandchildren; Kendall Craig, Theron Chapman, and K.J. Meeks.

A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memory Garden, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, Georgia, on May 6, 2022, at 11 a.m.

Barbara’s family has encouraged donations to animal rescues or shelters in her name in lieu of flowers.
