Betty Jane Bradford

Betty Jane Bradford, 93, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother died on September 17 2023. She was preceded in death by her late husband Robert Alvin Bradford, Sr. She is survived by sister, Louanne Barnes of Jacksonville, FL, her sons and daughter in-law, Robert Bradford, Jr., Mark and Mary Ann Bradford of Loganville; and daughter, Louanne Bradford of Lawrenceville; grand children and spouses, Alan and Ashley Bradford of Monroe, GA and Erica (Ryan) Wagoner also of Monroe GA: great grandchildren, Lillianne and Graham Bradford, Annabeth, Jace and Rylee Wagoner, her sister in-law, Betty Daniels of Augusta and brother in-law and sister in-law David and Judy Bradford of Jacksonville FL., along with several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Bradford and her late husband, Robert Bradford, Sr. were a long standing members of Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Ga., where Mr. Bradford was a deacon. Ms. Bradford retired from Dolco packaging in Lawrenceville, GA where she worked for 25 years. Early in life she played the violin in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and later was 2nd principal violinist for the Atlanta Community Orchestra for many years. She and her husband were active in supporting charitable organizations like Meals on Wheels and she was a volunteer at the Lawrenceville Co-op Ministry for many years. She was an avid reader and loved to work crossword puzzles and to spend time with her family and many friends. She is and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Ga with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Interment, Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lawrenceville Co-op Ministry, 52 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046
