Betty Perkins

February 23, 1935 — November 18, 2022

Elizabeth “Betty” Maye Denham Perkins of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed away at the age of 87 on November 18, 2022, with her family by her side.

Betty graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. Her passion was nursing care to Emergency Care patients and then focused her service to care of Pediatric patients. She continued to provide that expertise to friends and was ready to provide guidance and service to others. Betty was very involved in her community and served as PTA President and Board of Elections Supervisor. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved caring for animals, traveling with family, and spending time watching her grandchildren grow. Betty loved football and cheering on her local sports teams, the Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves.

Betty was preceded in death by Frank E. Perkins, Jr., her beloved husband of 45 years. She is survived by her three children: Carol Kozel, Frank Perkins III, and Linda Marrone. She also was survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 21 from 2-4 at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA 30083.
