She attended Howard College (Samford University) where she studied Home Economics. After moving to Atlanta she was very involved at Wieuca Road Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville. Betty loved Jesus, family and friends, camping, travel, golf, lipstick, pearls, and a good Baptist hymn. She had the gifts of hospitality, caring for others, and telling the story of Jesus. We are especially grateful to the Caregivers at Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill who loved her so extravagantly and filled her days with joy and grace during her last 3 years. A celebration of life will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Inman Houston and Dr Lamar Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10AM to 11AM on service day at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel.
