Beverly Cross

Beverly June Cross,52, of Decatur, Georgia passed away April 3,2014. The visitation will be Tuesday, April 8th from 6-8pm at Wages and Sons located at 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain,Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 11am at Indian Creek Baptist Church, located at 3901 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia. Burial will immediately follow at Dawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There will be a lunch and a gathering held at the church afterwards. Beverly was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Bernard Clay Ellis and Emma Monk Smith on April 14,1961. She married Lewis Bryan Cross on April 15,1984. She was very active within her church and community. Beverly is preceded in death by her father, Bernard Clay Ellis and her step-father, Cecil Douglas Smith, Sr. Beverly is survived by her beloved husband, Lewis Bryan Cross, daughters, Christina (Damon) Johnson, Jennifer ( Mychael) Venne, Michelle Cross,son: Bryan Cross, sister, Bernadine Bramblett, brother, Cecil Douglas Smith Jr., mother, Emma Smith, grandchildren, Haley and Amber Johnson, Austin and Benjamin Venne, and nephew, Mark Bramblett. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of Beverly and her courageous fight. The family would like to thank Dr. Hiba Tamim and her staff for the wonderful care Beverly received as well as to all the nurses with Hospice of Atlanta.
