Beverly Brannen Rhodes

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, following an extended illness. She devoted her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband, her children and grandchildren.

Beverly Brannen Rhodes (Belle of Bulloch County), was born and raised in Statesboro Georgia, left for college in Milledgeville and then UGA, where she graduated with a BA in Business/Merchandising. Upon graduation she moved to begin her career in Augusta, Georgia. There she met the love of her life Frank R. Rhodes, Jr. and the two were married a year later and Beverly began a new career, one of mother. Her Children, Russ, Rick and Laurisa were all born within 3 years.

Beverly was very involved in the United Methodist Church, her children’s schools, and her community. She resided last in Lawrenceville Georgia where she passed to eternal rest.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Rosaline Brannen and her brother and sister-in-law Jack and Catherine Brannen, brother and sister in-laws Claude and Anna Fernandez. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank, her children Russ (LeeHester), Rick (Susan), Laurisa (Rich), her grandchildren Ryan (Kristen), Rebecca, Stephen (Brittany), Rachel (Daniel), Anne (Steven) and Madeline, and two great grandchildren, Awdrey and Tal.

Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 AM, April 12th, followed by a Celebration of life at 12:00 noon at Prospect United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Prospect UMC who will use the funds for Family Promise of Gwinnett County.
