Billie Jo Waldrop, age 75, of Lilburn, Georgia, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 3rd, 2014. She was preceded in death by James Ira Waldrop, her loving husband of 51 years. She is survived by seven children, Jim Waldrop, Kenneth Waldrop, Charles A. Waldrop, Kathy Dugas, Sherri Johnson, Teresa Waldrop and Roxanne Wilson. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She spent her childhood years in both the Stone Mountain and the Grant Park area. She attended Tucker High School and later went on to meet and marry her life long love. She was a very dedicated Christian mother, who lived a life to uplift and serve others. She has been a devoted member of Elim of Georgia and her pastor is Fauto Garcia. She was passionate about antiquing, reading the Bible, gardening, art and also she loved learning new things.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Pastor Terry Garrett and Pastor Fauto Garcia officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Tucker. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, 770-277-4550.
