Carol Laurine Booher

Carol Laurine Booher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025 at the age of 77. Born on Christmas Eve in 1947 in Portland, Maine, she spent her early life in San Antonio, Texas before settling in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where she lived for the past 40 years.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Rickey Booher, her loving children Kathleen Collette (Todd), Michelle Prather (Bruce Jr.), Kimberly Settle, and Case Wilson (Ariel). She was a proud grandmother to Sgt. Matthew Simmons, U.S. Army (Sarah), Ashley Hester (Daniel), Specialist Sean Mendez, U.S. Army Infantry, Jon Christopher Anguiano, Hope Prather Bagby (Austin), Alexandra Parvin (Cody), Bruce Prather III, Kyle Settle, Rhayne Collette, and Lillie Welesley. Her legacy continues through her nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents William “Jack” Jackson and Barbara Jackson, sister Kathy Jackson, brother Larry Jackson, and beloved grandson Sgt. Donovan Wilson, USMC.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at south entrance of Free Chapel Gwinnett 855 Northbrook Pkwy, Suwanee, GA 30024
