Charles (Charlie) Elmo Chastain of Stone Mountain, GA went home to be with his lord and savior on September 19, 2022

Charles was born to Shelton Davis Chastain and Marie Kimbell Chastain on October 24, 1930 in Thomasville Georgia, where he grew up. Charles will be remembered for his love and devotion to his lord, family and friends. He served at Avondale Estates First Baptist, Emeritus deacon. Charles served in the Korean War in the Navy.

Charles was preceded in death by parents Shelton Davis Chastain and Marie Kimbell Chastain, Wife of 56 years Mary Cohen Chastain, Brother Shelton Kimbell Chastain and Sister Connie Chastain Knight.

He is survived by his loving caring wife of seven years Judith Sims Chastain, Son Chip Chastain of Dallas, GA, Daughter and Son in law Cindy Chastain Allen and Jimmy Allen of Monroe GA, Son Carl Chastain of Snellville GA, Stepchildren Cindy and Charlie Carden of Braselton, GA, Amelia and Robbie Edwards of Conyers, GA Grandchildren Kaitlyn Chastain Herring and husband Andrew, Sydney Chastain Brinckmann and husband Austin, Kyle Allen, Christopher Allen, Great Grandchildren Addison Brinckmann, Cohen Herring, Noah Herring Also many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Service to be held at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain Georgia with Tommy Lankford officiating.

Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
