Charles Fain passed away at the age of 64 after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He is preceded in death by his late father, Joseph Fain, brother Jerry Fain. He is survived by the love of his life Jill Balenger, son Rebel Fain, mother Mattie Fain, siblings Jody Fain and Sherri and Randy Collins, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nephews. Also included as family would be his very close and dear friends and co-workers who all held a special place in his life. Charles was born on June 29th, 1960 in Atlanta Ga. He attended Berkmar High School in Lilburn Ga. He went on to work framing houses and transitioned to welding at Target Metal. Charles loved everything Baseball from little league all the way to Pro, he enjoyed watching planes taking off and landing as well as simply riding in the country enjoying God’s creations, most of all Charles loved the Lord. Charles was a simple man that enjoyed the little things in life, moving to the beat of good music of all kinds, he received joy by just watching others having a good time, he was full of love, joy, he just loved life. Charles had the gift to make others feel like they were the most important person in the world and that he would always be there for them. Charles could light up a room, give the best hugs and he genuinely cared for others. Charles loved BBQ and country buffets. He enjoyed good preaching, gospel music, he was hungry for the word of God and his plan for him. Most of all he was great at childhood memories and storing up all the moments in life so he could recall at any time and relive that moment. A visitation will be held from 12:00PM – 2:00PM at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046, with the funeral service following at 2:00PM. The burial will follow the funeral and will be located at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth Ga.
