Charles David Kinney

Charles David Kinney, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, as a resident of Gwinnett County, GA, at the age of 74. Born on June 9, 1950, in Atlanta, GA, David lived a life marked by love, loyalty, and compassion.

A proud graduate of Berkmar High School, David had a passion for sports, particularly football. He was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. When not cheering for his teams, he found joy in playing golf and spending time with loved ones.

David was a skilled and dedicated professional in the heating and air industry. In 1989, he founded D&L Air Conditioning, a business built on hard work, integrity, and respect for his customers. His commitment to excellence and dependability earned him the trust and admiration of many throughout the community.

A faithful Baptist, David embodied the values of kindness, forgiveness, and compassion. He was known for his big heart and ability to make every person feel valued and loved. His sense of humor, loyalty, and unwavering dependability touched all who knew him. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and never hesitated to support anyone in need.

David’s family was his greatest treasure. He made each member feel deeply loved, safe, and important. His forgiving spirit, respect for others, and compassionate nature will be cherished by those he leaves behind.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Shelton and Helen Kinney, and his brother, Wayne Kinney.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Kinney; son, Jeff Kinney and wife Penny; daughter, Marie McCracken and husband Adam; sister, Brenda Head; brother, Gary Kinney; cherished grandchildren, Tailer Bradley, Dawson Kinney, Mason Kinney, Hunter Ogg, and Luke Ogg; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Gwinnett Memorial Park.

David’s love, humor, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those privileged to know him. His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire his family and friends.
