Charles Sanford Wilder, Jr. Mr.

Charles Sanford Wilder, Jr, 75, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his son, David Montgomery Wilder; parents, Charlie S. Wilder and Gertrude Montgomery Wilder; and sister, Maudine Wilder Hickman. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Crowe Wilder; daughters, Michele Wilder Atkins & husband, Charles, and Meredith Wilder Retter & husband, Matthew; grandchildren, Dominique Wilder, Charlie Wilder Reed & husband, Alex, Mallory Retter, Meagan Retter, Lexi Atkins, Emily Atkins, Molly Retter; great grandchildren, Luke King, Clarke Reed, Audrey Reed; sister, Erma Wilder Johnson; and numerous nieces & nephews. Charles was a native of Gwinnett County and received the first scholarship in Gwinnett County to play class A football and chose Clemson University. He served on numerous boards for growth & development in Gwinnett County. Charles was a loving, devoted husband, father, and Papa. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Jessica Terrell officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park.
