Mr. Chester Lankford Lee, Jr, 81, of Loganville, GA, passed away on Wednesday December 3rd, 2025.
Lankford was born on March 17, 1944, in Waycross, GA to Chester Lee Sr. and Louise Lee. He was a retired computer data field engineer and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in Europe. He was also a talented athlete, lettering in football, baseball, and track at Ware County High School. Lankford earned football scholarships to Florida State and the University of Wyoming and was inducted into the Waycross-Ware County Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Lankford enjoyed watching football (especially the Georgia Bulldogs), music, dancing, watching old westerns and being with his family. Lankford was a humble, generous man and loving father and husband.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marilyn; daughters: Mandy (husband Angel) of Anniston, AL and Ashley (husband Tyler) of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren: Adela and Liam; brother Mike Lee, and sister Janet Watkins. He is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Louise Lee and brother Gerald Lee.
No services have been planned at this time. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the outpouring of love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in Lankford’s memory.
