Christos Constantine Bogiages III (Chris or Bo), age 66, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 2nd, surrounded by his friends and held by his family. Born in Selma, Alabama to Linda (McCain) and Christos Constantine Bogiages Jr., Chris spent the majority of his childhood in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and eventually settled in Atlanta, where he met and married his beautiful bride, Leigh.
Chris and his dear friends started their company, Himformatics, in 2002. Their goal was to create a unique company focused on family culture and work-life balance, so he could prioritize time with his family and work with people who he genuinely cared about. They more than succeeded, you can confirm it with any of the current employees. Those who worked with Chris got to experience his leadership, his ability to empathize with all those around him, and most importantly, his fondness of lunch meetings.
Chris loved the Florida Gators, the great outdoors, his dogs, and his friends and family above all else. Chris placed tremendous value on his relationships, fostering many decades-long and nation-wide friendships. He pushed everyone to be the best they could be, to throw themselves into everything they do, and to always say yes to “adventure items”. He was a mentor, coach, instigator, and friend to many, and to his family he was a PFH and the best father two kids could ask for.
Chris fought a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia, during which he kept everyone around him laughing and entertained until the end.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Chris, and his brother, Andy. He is survived by his wife, Leigh, his mother, Linda, his two children, Barclay and Mackenzie, and his dogs, Olive and Magnus. He will be remembered by many more.
Chris’ family asks for donations in his memory to be made to PAWS Atlanta or the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Chris’ family also asks that you mirror his ability to find humor, even in the darkest times.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
“The journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.”
