Cynthia Peterson

With love and remembrance, we honor the life of Cynthia Teresa Thigpen Peterson, who passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026 at the age of 54, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born on September 13th, 1971 in Tacoma, Washington, Cyndi lived a life marked by strength and caring. She was a good and loving soul who would fiercely defend all those she loved and those who could not defend themselves. She would make sure no one child, animal or person ever went hungry on her watch . She was known for her kick ass and take names attitude and she did not care what anyone thought about her. She took great joy in her family and friends, pets, Rock & Roll and crafting, creating artistic things for those she loved, writing poetry and her faith in God.

To those who knew Cyndi, she will be remembered for being a headbanger to the end! She was always lending a hand, trying to make someone smile and her devotion to family. Her presence left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to share in her life.

Cyndi is lovingly survived by her husband Kurt Peterson, children, Jasmine & Shawn, Sisters, Brandee Landress, Nellie Alber, Judy Macario, Rita Benoit and Debora Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Siegelinde Thigpen and Mother Diane Framke.

A Celebration of life and Memorial service will be held on March 14th at 11:00 am at Wages & Sons funeral home , 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, Ga. 30086

In memory of Cyndi, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or flowers be sent to St. Edwards Episcopal Church in Lawrenceville Ga.
