David Hugh Rathbun

David Hugh Rathbun, a former AT&T Engineer passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 31, 2020.

He is survived by his sister, Shirley Brill; his children, Michael, Nancy, and Tracy; his grandchildren, Chad, Jai, Daniel, Raegan, Remy, and Rooney; and several nieces and nephews. Son of the late James Monroe Rathbun and Rene Mae Ide, David, was born August, 19 1938 in Twin Falls, Idaho. David entered the US Navy after graduation from high school and spent time in Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Renshaw.

Towards the end of his life, he lived in Florence, Oregon enjoying quiet walks on the beach.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life is planned for the future when his remains will be scattered.
