David Johnson Swanson

David Johnson Swanson, age 68, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on October 31, 2025. He is now joyfully reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Lynnette Swanson, and was preceded in death by his father, John Swanson, and his mother, Dorothy Swanson.

David had a lifelong passion for trains and automobiles, particularly Fords, and enjoyed building and collecting model trains. Beyond his hobbies, he was a devoted husband who supported his wife’s work with the Special Olympics and generously volunteered with the therapy program at Chastain Horse Park. He was also deeply dedicated to his church and congregation at St. Matthew’s Episcopal in Snellville, GA.

He will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and all who knew him for his quiet warmth, generosity, and his enthusiasm for the things he loved. His kindness, devotion, and passion will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Visitation and Memorial Service: Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM, with a reception to follow at Wages and Sons Funeral Home – Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046
