Delmarie Cooks

Delmarie R. Cooks was a caring daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away on June 1, 2022 at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

She was born to Theodora and Oscar Roberson on October 02, 1956. After graduating from high school, Delmarie began her 40+ year career at Emory University Hospital. She was a hard worker and was dedicated to her craft.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Delmarie. She loved a quiet evening at home or breakfast and bargain shopping with family and friends. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and pure joy in Hallmark Christmas movies (which she watched all year long). The terms reliable and dependable describe her best, as she was the rock of her family. Delmarie is survived by her mother; Theodora Roberson, her children Charles Jr. and Amesha (Anwar); grandchildren: Jabari, Ali, Tyler, Ava and Charley: her sisters, Charlotte and Miriam; her brothers, Wayne and Mark: and many nieces, and nephews.

A graveside ceremony service is scheduled for 11 am on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at Melwood Cemetery 5170 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Stone Mountain, GA 30083
