Dolores Jean Hegner, 85, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Dugan. Dolores is survived by her husband, James R. Hegner of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Curtis Hegner of Osawatamie, KS; son, Robert James Hegner of Lawrenceville, GA; grandsons, Michael Dugan of Decatur, GA and Joshua Hegner of Freeport, MS. Dolores taught elementary school in Chicago, IL, was an award winning writer, a self-taught pianist, and a member of Lawrenceville United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Bill Childers officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville.
