Dominga Rosales Lopez

Dominga Lopez (92), affectionately known as “Mami Chumi”, was born on September 17th, 1928 in Pomabamba, Peru. On July 21st, 2021 at approximately 11:26pm, Chumi took her last breath while surrounded by those who loved and respected her most.

Chumi is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Rosales and Teodora Ponte, her loving husband, Agripino Lopez, and her son, Daniel Espinosa. Chumi was the oldest of 7 children, a mother of 12 children, grandmother of 34 grandchildren, and great grandmother of 15 great grandchildren. Chumi will always be remembered for her delicious food, incredible strength, quick wittedness, and above all else, her love for family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Dominga López (92), cariñosamente conocida como “Mami Chumi”, nació el 17 de septiembre de 1928 en Pomabamba, Perú. El 21 de julio de 2021 aproximadamente a las 11:26 pm, Chumi tomó su último aliento mientras estaba rodeada de los seres que más la aman y respectan por siempre.

A Chumi le anteceden en la muerte sus padres, Daniel Rosales y Teodora Ponte, su amado esposo, Agripino López, y su hijo, Daniel Espinosa. Chumi era la mayor de 7 hijos, madre de 12 hijos, abuela de 34 nietos y bisabuela de 15 bisnietos. Chumi siempre será recordada por su deliciosa comida, su increíble fuerza, su ingenio rápido y, sobre todo, su amor por la familia. Todos los que la conocieron la extrañarán profundamente.
