Donna June George passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026.
Donna was born on September 6, 1961, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Alton “Shorty” Chewning and Evelyn Chewning. She was raised in Tucker, Georgia, during a simpler time when children spent their days playing outside until they were called home for lunch and dinner. Those simple childhood memories remained a special part of Donna throughout her life.
Donna married her husband, Randy George, on March 2, 1984. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and countless memories.
Donna was fortunate to spend 37 years working for Allen Precision Equipment. She began her career as a receptionist and eventually found her home in inside sales. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for others made her a beloved part of the company and allowed her to form many lasting friendships throughout the years.
Donna loved watching her favorite teams—the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves. She never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. But her greatest joy in life was being “Gigi” to her granddaughters, Parker and Quinn. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment she spent with them.
Donna had a gift for lighting up every space she entered. Her warmth, kindness, laughter, and loving spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was deeply loved and adored by her family and friends, and her absence will be felt by so many.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Alton “Shorty” and Evelyn Chewning; her brother, Mark Chewning; and her brother-in-law, Alan McClure.
She is survived by her husband, Randy George; her son, Brandon George; her daughter, Shannon McIntosh; her son-in-law, Brent McIntosh; her beloved granddaughters, Parker McIntosh and Quinn McIntosh; her brother, Wayne Chewning; her sister-in-law, Pam Chewning; her sister, Brenda McClure; her sister-in-law, Brenda Cook and her husband, Phil; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Donna leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Above all, she leaves behind the love she gave so freely to her family, especially her granddaughters, who will always carry the memory of their Gigi with them.
