Doris Henson Summey

Doris moved to Atlanta from Annistion, Alabama in 1949 after her marriage to Ed Henson and raised her family in Decatur,Georgia. She later married Pete Summey and live in Lilburn,Georgia until moving to Benton Village Assisted Living located in Stockbridge, Georgia in 2014. Doris enjoyed reading, sewing, making dolls, working in the yard and square dancing. She also enjoyed the opportunities to travel. Doris was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ed Henson and Pete Summey, her sister Sylvia Wooten and brother Vinston E. Payne. Doris is survived by her sons Wayne Henson (Marion) of Covington, Georgia her daughter Jan Baker (Mike) of Griffin, Georgia. She is further survived by four grandchildren, Laura Dobrotka, Blake Henson, Ross Henson (Naomi), and David Henson along with great granddaughters, Ellie Dobrotka and Ariel Gaddy and numerous nieces and nephews.
