Dorothy "Dottie" Mae Grubb

February 21, 1933 — July 8, 2022

Dorothy Mae Grubb, 89, of Stone Mountain, peacefully passed away at home on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Dottie was born February 21, 1933, in West Virginia, daughter of the late Herman and Pearl Cavender. She was the baby of 13 children.

Dottie’s first career was working as a stewardess for Eastern Airlines based out of Miami from 1956 to 1968. She was able to travel to many beautiful locations where she made many unforgettable memories.  After traveling the world, Dottie settled down to be a homemaker and mother which was a job she took pride in. Years later when her children were in high school, Dottie started working part-time at Your Serve Tennis where she enjoyed combining her passion for tennis and her love to help others through retail for over 20 years. After retiring from Your Serve Tennis, Dottie spent her free time playing tennis, visiting with friends, working in her yard, and loving on her grandchildren whom she adored. She was an excellent cook who loved to try new recipes. She made the very best fried chicken, fried okra, and pecan pie…second to none. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan and loved watching their games every Saturday. She was a Braves fan and Falcons fan as well…a true Atlanta sports enthusiast. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, her husband of 52 years, Dan Grubb, and her son, Kevin Grubb.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Grubb Mosley (Ricky) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Ashley, Patrick, and Lindsay Mosley; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.

The service will be live streamed and a link will be provided.
