Dorothy "Dottie" Marie Smith

Dorothy “Dottie” Marie Smith, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. She was born on September 14, 1935, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Oscar and Grace Baker Smith. Dottie devoted 43 years of her life to her career as a bookkeeper at Wells Fargo & Associates before retiring

A woman of deep faith, Dottie was a lifelong member of the Baptist church, finding strength and comfort in her relationship with the Lord. She was known for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Grace Baker Smith; her brother, Marvin Smith; and her sister, Elizabeth Smith Davidson. She is survived by her loving sisters, Camille Davidson of Marietta, GA, Pat Lucas of Lake City, FL, and Mary Adams of Danielsville, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews who held her dear.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel, officiated by Chaplain Cortney Whiting. Fellowship and light refreshments will follow the service. Flowers are accepted or a donation may be made to the American Red Cross in honor of Dottie.

Dottie’s love for her family and her faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
