Dorothy Anne Griffeth Ray

Dorothy Anne Ray, 85, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on May 21, 2020. She was a native of Athens, GA.

She was the daughter of Leila Mae and John Roy Griffeth. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walton Ray. Survivors include her daughter, Felicia Anne Stamey (husband, Kerry Stamey), son Walton Lee Ray, along with granddaughter Katherine Stamey Hoge (husband, Wynn Hoge) and granddaughter Samantha Stamey; she is also survived by her great-grandson Hudson Hoge. Due to the current COVID situation, the family will have a private graveside service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Commerce, GA; later, there will be a Celebration of Life service at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church, where she was an active member. The Rev. Steven Usry will officiate the service.
