Dorothy Rebecca Williams Guess

Dorothy Rebecca Williams Guess, known by all as Dot, passed away on Monday October 5, 2015. Dot was a lifelong resident of Stone Mountain, GA. She graduated from Agnes Scott College and later Georgia State. Dot was a DeKalb County School Teacher for 35 years spending most of that time as a First Grade Teacher at Stone Mountain Elementary. She was also a member and past President of the Stone Mountain Woman‘s Club, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stone Mountain for over 60 years, and a member of PEO. Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William Marion Guess, Sr and her son William Marion Guess, Jr. She is survived by her Daughter, Becky Sanders and her husband Mike Sanders, Daughter in law, Iliana Guess, grandchildren, William Marion Guess, III, Casi Guess Pickering and Greg Pickering, April Sanders Fleming and David Fleming, and Dee Sanders Croke and Kevin Croke, great grandchildren, Anna Kate Pickering, Ella Grace Pickering, Alice Croke, Andrew Croke and Tatum Fleming. Funeral Services will be held Friday October 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at The First United Methodist Church of Stone Mountain with Dr. Ellen Sheppard officiating. Burial Stone Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday October 8, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel.
