Doyle Fred Johnson

Doyle F. Johnson, age 78 of Bethlehem, Georgia, formerly of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathi Lanphear Johnson, and Children: Wallace W. Johnson and wife Paula, Michael D. Johnson and wife Connie, Kelly K. Johnson and husband David, and brothers and sister: Larry Johnson and wife Phyllis, James Johnson and wife Gloria, and Joyce Warner all from Live Oak, Florida, and Grandchildren: Wesley, Allison, Victoria, Rachel, Ryan, and Riley Johnson. Mr. Johnson grew up in Live Oak, Florida, and moved to Lawrenceville in 1967 where he started Southeast Culvert, Inc. in 1981. He was a loyal and faithful servant of the Wesley Class and Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church serving on many committees. He was a member and past president of the National Corrugated Steel Pipe Association, was a member of the Lawrenceville Lions Club for many years, served on the Board of Directors for United Community Bank, and was an avid golfer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend leaving a wonderful legacy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church with the remains placed in state at 12:00 noon, Dr. Bill Burch and Dr. Davis Chappell will officiate. Private interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church, 395 West Crogan Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, or to Lawrenceville Co-Op Ministry, P.O. Box 1328, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA.
