E.E. "Brauny" Braunbeck, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015. Brauny was born in Binghamton, NY on March 20, 1943. He moved with his family to Virginia, where he attended Fork Union Military Academy and met his future wife, Frances Hammer. Brauny and Fran married on February 22, 1964.
Brauny began a rewarding career in the insurance industry in 1968. He founded two businesses: Life and Health Insurance Marketers and Braunbeck Insurance Agency, and was a successful independent general agent and agency field representative with Columbian Insurance Company for more than 30 years.
When Brauny wasn't enjoying his quiet Suwanee home, he loved to travel. Recently, Brauny happily planned and enjoyed a 10,300-mile cross-country golden anniversary road trip with Fran, visiting and celebrating their 50 years of marriage with family and friends around the U.S.
Brauny loved his family deeply - and he loved life. He had a big personality, and an even bigger heart. His playful sense of humor brought smiles to many, and you could always count on him to lighten the mood - even in his final days.
Brauny is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Frances; daughters: Karen Lienhart and husband, Rob, and Laura Hardeman and husband, Kevin; grandchildren: Chris, Brandon and Joseph; and sister, Florence Moffitt.
A celebration of Brauny Braunbeck's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, Georgia followed by a reception at the Braunbeck's home.
